Switzerland July 2014

BMW Strikes Back Edition

After a couple of months outside the leadership, the i3 was again the Best Selling EV this July, with 41 units, reaching the #2 place of the Renault Zoe, now both are tied with 216 units sold this year, both behind the YTD leader (279 sales), the Tesla Model S.

In the rest of the ranking, we see the Opel Ampera (Just 4 units sold last month) stumbling two places to #7, a bad sign for the rest of the Ampera's life in Switzerland, one of the few markets where it still sells sold in decent numbers.

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, the race is hot, with Tesla in #2 (27% share), behind Renault (30%), with BMW (21%) slowly closing in on the top two.

  1. Any news on China July ev sales? I saw an article saying that there were no imports into China by Tesla in July. Can that be true?

    1. smmt.co.uk provide the total numbers of the EV market, but doesn't breakdown sales by models or brands.
